A wasp is not a bee, Katie.

Right before trivia night started last night, we realized Katie Couric was sitting next to us. I kept insisting that it must have been some sort of contest the people she was with had won because I’m certain they weren’t her friends. I pleaded with my team to have our team name be Meredith Viera is a Bitch, but they thought that she’d get upset or something. Anway, I was facing the back of her head and after the first round she turned around and asked if we handed in our sheet yet. I thought she was asking where to hand it in so i told her, but then she said they had already and asked what we put for the bee question — What is the only type of bee that dies after one sting?  My friend and I said we put yellowjackets and she said she put wasps, to which I said “Is that a bee?”  She seemed very confident that it was a bee, so I told her she was probably right then. We were both wrong - they are both wasps, which are not bees and the answer was honeybees. During the second round there was a question about the porn that was played during the superbowl in Arizona. The quizmaster kept mispronouncing Tuscon, which was really disturbing her and she was looking around for someone to make a what the fuck face to and then she turned to me when he did it again and said “What?” all annoyed and I laughed and was like “I don’t know, man.”  Then she left before they announced the answers to that round and her assistant put on her scarf for her. Thankfully, she left before the next round, during which I freaked out and got a bit obnoxious because they asked a question about my favorite show as a kid, Square One TV.
